Before attending your intake appointment, please check your insurance coverage.

1. Scope of Practice

 

Care Connect offers psychotherapy and counselling services provided by a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW), governed by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Services include individual therapy, walk & talk ecotherapy, counselling, and creative workshops. I do not provide medical diagnoses, prescribe medications, or offer crisis services.

2. Confidentiality

​

Your privacy matters deeply. Everything shared in session is confidential, with the following exceptions required by law:
 

• You disclose imminent risk of harm to yourself or others

• You disclose abuse of a child or dependent adult

• A court orders your records

• You give written consent to share information
   

Confidentiality also applies to written communications (e.g., email, contact forms) and online sessions.

3. Session Length & Fees

​

• Therapy sessions are 50 minutes at a rate of $160 CAD/session

• Sliding scale is available on request (limited to 5 individuals)
   

Payment is due at the time of the session. Accepted methods: credit card and e-transfer. An invoice and receipt will be issued upon payment. While I don't offer direct billing, claims can easily be filed with your insurance provider. I always include my registration number upon receipt.

4. Cancellation Policy

​

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments without notice will be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency or unavoidable circumstances. While I am willing to offer one free pass for missed appointments, any subsequent missed sessions will be charged a late fee.

5. Privacy & Technology Use

​

I use encrypted platforms for virtual sessions via the booking software, Jane. Please ensure you are in a private, secure space. While every effort is made to protect your data, there are inherent risks with technology use.

6. Record Keeping

​

Client records are securely stored in accordance with OCSWSSW regulations. You may request access to your records at any time.

7. Informed Consent

​

Therapy is a collaborative process. You are welcome to ask questions, express concerns, or stop services at any time. You will be asked to review and sign an informed consent form before beginning therapy.
